ABOUT GOVT. SEN. SECONDARY SCHOOL GHANGOT, DISTRICT HAMIRPUR (HP)

GSSS GHANGOT was established in 1915 and it is managed by the Department of Education. It is located in Rural area. It is located in BIJHARI block of HAMIRPUR (H.P.) district of Himachal Pradesh. The school consists of Grades from 6 to 12. The school is Co-educational and it doesn't have an attached pre-primary section. The school is Not Applicable in nature and is not using school building as a shift-school. Hindi is the medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable by all weather road  from Bijhari via Sarla or Bijhari through ABC Chowk, Gaarli to Sarla or Chakmoh to Dalchehra.. In this school academic session starts in April 2019. Enrollment in this school is 104 at present.
                                     The school has Government building. It has got 13 classrooms for instructional purposes. All the classrooms are in good condition. It has 2 other rooms for non-teaching activities. The school has a separate room for Head master/Teacher. The school has Pucca boundary wall. The school has have electric connection. The source of drinking water in the school is tap water and it is functional with two coolers. The school has 3 boys toilet and it is functional. and 2 girls toilet , one CWSN toilet and urinal pots and all are functional. The school has a small playground. The school has a library and has 928 books in its library. The school has built a  ramp for disabled children to access classrooms. The school has 15 computers for teaching and learning purposes and all are functional. The school is having a computer aided learning lab. The school is provided and prepared in School premises providing mid-day meal.

                         It has total 14 teachers at present and no post is vacant. Shri Daler Singh Pathania is Principal in this institution. Shri Vijay Kumar Heer, TGT Arts joined in this school on 4th January, 2019 has created this blog for school and promoting its activities. The school has only Arts faculty at Senior Secondary level and choice of English medium has also been given from this session if any student wants to opt for it. This school is now trying to recover from the series of past poor results and trying for achieving good results and improving grades of the students. Hopefully, we will achieve a lot in near future.
